Overview

The Marketing Specialist, Community Support Services (CSS) initiates effective online marketing campaigns that translate business goals into campaigns that increase brand awareness, promote the Y’s membership and program services, and drive prospects to conversions through a comprehensive understanding of consumer trends and demands. This position is an integral part of supporting the Y’s Community Support Services division and its programs, contracts, and services. This position creates marketing materials, web content and emails to support the entire association but with specific focus on CRS, YFS, ELP and cause-driven events and initiatives. Additionally, the Marketing Specialist, CSS, will assist in providing creative input, feedback and collaboration with the Marketing team and applicable cross-functional teams.

WORK DESIGNATION

  • Hybrid with weekly meetings in North Park
    • Please note that the work designation may change based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing materials such as programs, emails, webpages, flyers, infographics, print ads, social media graphics, and more using Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, and online creative tools like Marq
  • Create email campaigns, lead nurturing programs, web forms, landing pages and associated templates
  • Collaborate with the Y’s CSS staff and teams to execute a variety of initiatives
  • Support Marketing Director with a variety of projects
  • Collaborate with other team members in marketing, as well as communications, key stakeholders, external partners, and ongoing initiatives
  • Provide project management for large marketing initiatives, including, but not limited to, email, banners, landing pages and more
  • Provide support, direction, and supervision of other marketing team members as applicable or needed 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, or Communications or a related field, or four (4) years of equivalent related experience AND,
  • Minimum of three (3) years of related work experience, demonstrating skills in any combination of the following areas:
    • Office Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint)
    • Creative Software: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat)
    • Digital Marketing: Understanding of e-commerce, social media ads, PPC ads, SEO, and SEM, including paid search strategies and best practices for platforms like Google and Facebook
    • Copywriting and Editing: Writing and editing abilities with a command of AP style and the ability to craft effective marketing calls to action (CTAs)

  • Possesses foundational knowledge of digital marketing platforms and tools, with the ability to support content creation, scheduling, and performance tracking
  • Exhibits flexibility in managing changing priorities while demonstrating cultural awareness to ensure marketing efforts are inclusive and impactful

PRE-HIRE CONTINGENCIES:

  • Licensing, state law and our funders require that applicants be fingerprinted, prior to reporting to work, and include subsequent arrest notifications
  • CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification, must include Adult and Child/Infant, within 30 days of hire, and must be from one of the following certifying organizations: American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or American Safety and Health Institute
  • Exclusion and Debarment checks prior to first day and monthly thereafter

Pay Range

USD $22.64 - USD $27.17 /Hr.
