Overnight Camp Unit Leader
Responsible for the overall management and supervision of a specific unit of the overnight camp program, providing leadership and stability for program continuity. Plan and oversee Unit operations, including the creation and implementation of staff training and scheduling. Develop and evaluate classes and activities to maintain a dynamic and well-received program. Responsible for monitoring and supervising staff in unit, ensuring the safety of all children at camp, leading a group in activities daily, assisting in overall camp operations, participating in planning and implementing quality YMCA programming and serving as a positive role model to both campers and staff.
Voyagers (Day Camp) – support Counselors and Campers in our Voyagers Village, ages 6 to 12.
Mariners – support Counselors and Campers in our Mariners Village, ages 7 to 11.
Waterman – support Counselors and Campers in our Waterman Village, ages 11 to 13.
Beachcombers – lead trips and support Counselors and Campers in our Beachcombers Village, ages 13 to 16.
SOUL – lead trips and help build leadership skills among our teen campers.
Waterfront – support the team of lifeguards and safety of the ocean activities.
Photo – capture the magic of camp and upload daily to share with friends and family.
Arts & Crafts – create the curriculum and lead all campers in a variety of crafts all summer long.
Floater & Holdovers – support Counselors and villages where needed and run our weekend holdover program.
Health Center – responsible for distributing medications and providing first aid to campers.
