The Accounts Payable Specialist II is responsible for accounts payable processing, management of the vendor database, and assisting with other administrative tasks.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

• Input assigned accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently
• Review in detail accounts payable invoices entered by branch staff
• Review and pay accounts payable invoices by the due date
• Conduct multiple check and ACH transmittals each week
• Maintain and approved up-to-date vendor database in the accounts payable system
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
• Manage voided and outstanding checks
• Reconcile vendor accounts payable, including research and resolution of invoice discrepancies and issues
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoicing, payments, and account reconciliations
• Process employee petty cash and expense reports
• Generate monthly reconciliations for cash advances, petty cash including creating an posting journal entries to the general ledger
• Receive and distribute daily mail
• Deposit incoming checks daily and route deposit slip along with other documentation to the appropriate team member
• Assist with independent contractor paperwork
• Assist with routing and maintaining contracts with customers, vendors, and other partners
• Other duties as assigned

• 5+ years' experience in a related field and/or position related college course work
• Licensing, state law and our government funders require that staff within YMCA of San Diego County be fingerprinted, prior to reporting to work, and include subsequent arrest notifications 
• CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification, must include Adult and Child/Infant, obtained within 30 days of hire and must be from one of the following certifying organizations:
  • American Red Cross
  • American Heart Association
  • American Safety & Health Institute
