Overview

Under the supervision of the Program Director-Expanded Learning Programs, the Student Enrollment Specialist-Expanded Learning Programs is responsible for administrative support for YMCA of San Diego County operated Expanded Learning Programs student enrollment systems. This position performs essential duties for the Expanded Learning Programs (ELP) team by managing student enrollment and attendance systems, providing program enrollment information to families, districts and staff members, and by coordinating enrollment and attendance projects that contribute to achieving 100% Average Daily Attendance (ADA) for all programs.

SCHEDULE:

 

  • Full Time 
  • Monday-Friday: 9:30AM to 6:00PM  

 

WORK DESIGNATION:

Responsibilities

  • Manages PrimeTime Extended Day Program student enrollment systems including processing all enrollment requests, disseminating student attendance data, and by contacting families directly to facilitate immediate enrollment when space is available.
  • Creates and distributes weekly enrollment and attendance data reports to PrimeTime Extended Day Program staff members.
  • Manages monthly collection of student enrollment data for all YMCA of San Diego County Expanded Learning Programs.
  • Audits student enrollment systems to facilitate disenrollment of students not meeting program attendance requirements.
  • Audits student attendance records for non-compliance.
  • Assists the Executive Director with data management systems and standard operating procedures that contribute to 100% Average Daily Attendance (ADA) for all programs.
  • Attends all staff meetings, required trainings, and other special events as requested.

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • This position occasionally requires travel throughout San Diego County.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • This position does not include any supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a high school diploma/GED.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
  • Excellent computer skills required including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with data management systems required.
  • Experience with student data management systems preferred.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented with ability to create thorough, accurate, organized, and efficient systems and records.
  • Must have commitment to provide YMCA of San Diego County stakeholders high quality
    customer service.

 

PRE-HIRE CONTINGENCIES:

 

  • Completion of Child Abuse Prevention training prior to working with program participants 
  • Licensing, state law and our funders require that applicants be fingerprinted, prior to reporting to work, and include subsequent arrest notifications 
  • Negative TB assessment or test results obtained within the past 60 days, prior to working on a school site, and every four (4) years thereafter  
  • CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification, must include Adult and Child/Infant, obtained within 30 days of hire, and must be from one of the following certifying organizations: American Red Cross, American Heart Association, American Safety & Health Institute 
  • Completion of one of the following:  

    • 48 college credits at an institution of higher education 

    • AA/AS degree, OR 

    • Passing score on district’s Classroom Assistant/Instructional Aide proficiency exam

Pay Range

USD $22.64 - USD $27.17 /Hr.
