Overview

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for accounts payable processing and assisting with other administrative tasks.

Schedule

  • Location: McGrath Family YMCA

This position will oversee multiple branches generally in the East County area. Occational travel will be required between locations.

Responsibilities

  • Input assigned accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Review and pay accounts payable invoices by the due date
  • Communicate with vendors regarding invoicing, payments, and account reconciliations
  • Receive and distribute daily mail
  • Deposit incoming checks daily and route deposit slip along with other documentation to the appropriate team member
  • Process employee petty cash and expense reports
  • Generate monthly reconciliations for cash advances, petty cash and accounts payable
  • Assist with independent contractor paperwork
  • Assist with routing and maintaining contracts with customers, vendors, and other partners
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications with advanced proficiency in Excel and previous exposure to accounting software.
  • Proficient in Adobe PDF
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred
  • Proficient in data entry and management involving large volumes of data
  • Demonstrated ability to identify issues, investigate solutions and resolve problems
  • Commitment to providing outstanding customer service
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Detail oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Highschool GED or equivalent experience required
  • 2+ years’ experience in a related field and/or position related college course work
  • Licensing, state law and our government funders require that staff within YMCA of San Diego County be fingerprinted, prior to reporting to work, and include subsequent arrest notifications 
  • CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification, must include Adult and Child/Infant, obtained within 30 days of hire and must be from one of the following certifying organizations:
    • American Red Cross
    • American Heart Association
    • American Safety & Health Institute

Pay Range

USD $26.04 - USD $31.24 /Hr.
