Overview

The Regional Marketing Coordinator initiates effective marketing campaigns that translate business goals into campaigns that increase brand awareness, promote the Y’s membership and program services, and drive prospects to conversions through a comprehensive understanding of consumer trends and demands. Position is an integral part of the Association Marketing team, while working directly within branches and/or camp locations within the YMCA of San Diego County. Create copy and graphics for marketing materials (fliers, posters, signage, direct mail), web content/updates, organic/paid social media posts and emails. Provides creative input, feedback and collaboration with Marketing team and applicable cross-functional teams. Reports to Marketing Team Leadership.

Schedule

  • Location: Mission Valley YMCA and Jackie Robinson Family YMCA
  • Monday - Friday 
  • Available for some weekends for YMCA events

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing materials such as programs, emails, webpages, fliers, infographics, print ads, social media graphics, impact reports and more
  • Responsible for photography and videography for special events and social media
  • Create email campaigns, lead nurturing programs, web forms, landing pages and associated templates
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director, Associate Executive or Branch/Camp Leadership and teams to execute a variety of initiatives
  • Work within branches or camps over multiple days each work week, with flexible work hours
  • Collaborate with other team members in marketing, communications, operations, finance, development and external partners with ongoing initiatives
  • Support association-wide marketing initiatives
  • Provide regular reporting/updates on major projects and support marketing team members as needed
  • Provide or create advertising and engagement for programs and activities for branch/camp communities
  • Strong understanding of design, aesthetics and compelling visual communications
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships within the organization
  • Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Marketing, Graphic Design, Advertising, Journalism, or Communications
  • 2+ years' of marketing related work experience
  • Basic knowledge of photography and video 
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud: InDesign, Premiere, Adobe Express, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat & Microsoft Office software
  • Website experience in (Drupal or WordPress) and CRM (ex: Salesforce) experience a plus
  • Project management skills and collaboration with key stakeholders with the ability to work in cross-functional teams that can deliver results within tight deadlines
  • CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification, must include Adult and Child/Infant, obtained within 30 days of hire and must be from one of the following certifying organizations:
    • American Red Cross
    • American Heart Association
    • American Safety & Health Institute

Pay Range

USD $19.69 - USD $23.63 /Hr.
