Overview

The HR Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services as assigned by the Sr. HR Generalist. This position reviews confidential data from employee records in multiple Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). This position will be responsible for review, cleanup and auditing of payrate data while supporting Human Resource project work as assigned.

SCHEDULE:

  • Flexible work schedule is required
  • Weekend work as business needs required

WORK DESIGNATION:

  • In-Person (Association Office)
    • Please note that the work designation may change based on business needs
  • This position will require travel to Overnight Camp locations in Julian, Camp Marston and Imperial Beach, Camp Surf

Responsibilities

  • Supports Human Capital Management integration project work
  • Supports Ulti Kronos Group – Ready secondary rate audit and data clean-up project work
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts and committees on assigned projects
  • Review various confidential documents and updates the HRIS system accordingly
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department as assigned
  • Communicates with leaders to identify cost center accuracy and activity
  • Supports with auditing processes to ensure accuracy of data
  • Supports Sr. HR Generalist with various HR projects as assigned
  • Must have strong attention to detail skills and ability to manage multiple, competing deadlines simultaneously
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis on Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all employee information
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented
  • Able to work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work with confidential data professionally
  • Demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Highschool/GED required
  • 2+ years’ experience of administrative and data entry experience
  • Licensing, state law and our government funders require that staff within YMCA of San Diego County be fingerprinted, prior to reporting to work, and include subsequent arrest notifications 
  • CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification, must include Adult and Child/Infant, obtained within 30 days of hire and must be from one of the following certifying organizations:
    • American Red Cross
    • American Heart Association
    • American Safety & Health Institute

Pay Range

USD $19.69 - USD $23.63 /Hr.
