The Manager on Duty (in the absence of any other ranking director or coordinator) will be responsible for the overall supervision of the YMCA building and grounds. This individual must be able to supervise staff and volunteers and make sure that everyone follows safety standards and policies of the YMCA. The Manager on Duty will act as the “department supervisor” for all departments in the absence of any other higher-ranking director or coordinator.
The Escondido YMCA – A Campus for Community Well-Being is seeking additional Key Holders/Managers to provide greater operational flexibility in opening and closing the branch and supporting facility rental commitments. In addition to performing the primary responsibilities of their assigned position (e.g., Lifeguarding), individuals in this role will be responsible for ensuring the branch is properly opened and secured at closing, allowing staff, members, participants, and rental groups safe and timely access to the facility. When other branch managers are not on site, the Key Holder/Manager will serve as the Manager on Duty, providing leadership, direction, and support to staff while addressing operational and facility needs.
